GSE DISPENSING SEES GREAT INTEREST FOR ITS SUSTAINABLE, SMART INK LOGISTICS SOLUTIONS AT LABELEXPO 2009
Brummen, Netherlands, 29 September, 2009: The need for sustainable printing solutions, greater traceability and leaner production resulted in a great deal of interest in GSE Dispensing’s gravimetric ink dispensing systems at LabelExpo 2009 in Brussels (stand 12-U75). Two systems were sold, while high-quality leads came from both narrow- and wide web printers, not just from Europe, but from India, South East Asia, South America, Australia and Africa, too.
GSE Dispensing highlighted the sustainable credentials of automated ink logistics under its Smart (Th)inking slogan at the show. Their stand highlight was the Colorsat Match ink dispenser. Specifically designed for label printing situations, it dispenses recipes in batches of 5 kg or less. This has been a major success, with over 40 label converters worldwide investing in the system since its introduction. It has enabled printers to reduce running costs by up to 30 percent, cutting waste by calculating the exact requirements for a print job, and allowing any excess ink from a print run to be easily reused in new recipes. The sale of a Match to a major Dutch label converter was confirmed during the show.
However, there were plenty of enquiries from flexible packaging and corrugated printers at the show, and a Colorsat Compact was sold to a major Finnish converter.
