Solvent-based inks

Solvent-based inks are commonly used for printing on film and flexible packaging.

Solvents in printing inks evaporate as the inks dry, releasing Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC’s) into the atmosphere. With our Ink Management Software (IMS™) all ink formulas and orders can be traced to their individual raw materials, ideal for VOC registration requirements.

ImageOur systems for solvent-based inks accept solutions with ethyl acetate, ethanol and iso-propanol as standard, and can also be configured for MEK and toluene. Long-lasting hoses (according to EN12115), appendages and pumps are standard.

All GSE solvent-based dispensing systems for Europe comply to CE and ATEX, and those intended for the USA, Canada and Mexico are CSA compliant.
