Revamped GSE website puts added focus on comprehensive, lean ink logistics for packaging and textile printers.
Brummen, Netherlands, 19 September, 2017: GSE, the global provider of ink logistics solutions, announces unveiling of the company’s revamped website. Its refreshed design aims to help label, packaging and textile printers better understand the how and where waste can be eliminated in the workflow, and find tailored, comprehensive ink logistics solutions. Serving an increasingly service-oriented value chain, GSE has expanded its offering in recent years beyond dispensing systems to include table-top proofing systems and integrated ink management software.
Maarten Hummelen, marketing director at GSE, comments: “The demands for shorter production runs, tighter quality controls and more stringent safety and environmental legislation have made minimising setup times, standardisation of processes and traceability a priority.
“That is why at GSE, we have focused on developing comprehensive ink logistics solutions that aim to eliminate ink-related waste in its widest sense. Besides efficient ink consumption, this includes reducing costs related to time, materials, tools, techniques, people and space. When professionally implemented, ink logistics can deliver cost savings of up to 30 percent.”
The new website places special focus on how GSE technologies contribute to a ‘Lean’ manufacturing environment that tackle eight types of waste, comprising overproduction, transport, defects, inventory, motion, over-processing, waiting and talent.
“There is a greater service aspect to the website, too, reflecting the demand for complete solutions that include consultancy and project management,” Hummelen said.
In addition to modular dispensing systems tailored to application, website visitors can learn about a wide range of GSE services such as installation plans, training and support provided both from the Brummen, Netherlands, headquarters, as well as from a global network of service partners.
The launch of the new website coincides with the global debut at Labelexpo Europe 2017 of GSE Ink manager – a new management software for eliminating ink-related waste and assuring colour quality within the label and package printing workflow. The new software offers more complex ways to use inks of different qualities, the ability to trace inks through the supply chain, real-time stock information, reporting capabilities and remote Wi-Fi connection via mobile phone. There will be live demonstrations throughout the show at GSE stand 7D59.
