GSE unveils advances in ink handling and workflow software for narrow web converters at Labelexpo Americas 2024

Ink logistics provider GSE will showcase dispensing and software innovations that automate and simplify ink handling processes in the label and package print workflow, at Labelexpo Americas 2024. GSE will present its solutions at the booth of its North America distributor, UPrint Technologies (booth 751, Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, Rosemont, IL, 10-12 September).

Innovation highlights include GSE Advanced reporting software, for efficient data sharing and decision-making, and a Windows 11 Upgrade service for GSE products.

New GSE Advanced reporting module

During the show, GSE will introduce the redesign of its software program, GSE Advanced reporting. The new version  makes it possible to automatically send reports from the dispensing machine, giving businesses deeper insights into their ink consumption. Windows 11 Upgrade Service for Global Dispenser and Software Installations

In the fourth quarter of 2024, GSE will introduce a service for upgrading its global installed base of Colorsat ink dispensing systems and Ink manager software to Windows 11. The initiative will ensure GSE’s customers benefit from the enhanced security and performance provided by the latest Windows operating system.

With Microsoft ending support for Windows 10 in 2025, this timely upgrade will protect GSE ink dispensing equipment and software from emerging cybersecurity threats, while optimizing system performance.

GSE’s Colorsat dispensing systems set the standard for reproducible printing colour quality and ink cost control, dispensing accurate spot colours on-demand, while avoiding waste, errors and delays and reducing ink consumption by up to 30 percent. Dispensers, available for UV, water-based and solvent inks, feature easily exchangeable parts such as valves and may be extended with extra base ink containers once installed.

Ink dispensers for label and narrow web applications include the Colorsat Switch, using exchangeable buckets, and Colorsat Match, with fixed refillable storage tanks, which prepare batches of up to 10kg, and the Colorsat FCS manual dispenser, for small-scale dispensing. The Colorsat Compact prepares larger mixtures, suited for longer print runs and higher-volume ink requirements.

Maarten Hummelen, GSE marketing director, comments: “Automating ink-related processes is vital for addressing the needs for quality assurance, sustainability, and adaptability in an increasingly complex package print supply chain. At Labelexpo Americas, we invite printers to explore how our integrated  software and dispensing systems can streamline their workflows and drive competitiveness in today’s challenging business environment.”
